Alright, I'm not really a blogging person but I figured this was something worth blogging about. I'm not exactly a small guy, I'm not super ripped and I, as I lack better words to explain it, am a fat ass. Now in my quest for fitness, I have tried many things, the Abs Diet Power by David Zinczenko, Tony Horton's 10 Minute Trainer, Get Huge in a Hurry by Chad Waterbury and more recently Lose Twenty Pounds in 10 Weeks by Ret. Lt. Col. Bob Weinstein. My brother had amazing results with Abs Diet Power, granted he weighed 160 to start and soon he had a six pack. I had moderate gains in Strength with Get Huge in a Hurry but weight loss was not really the goal. 10 Minute Trainer bored me and couldn't keep me interested and the same goes for Lose Twenty pounds in 10 Weeks, I just couldn't seem to keep with them. Call me undisciplined if you will or call me lazy, both fit. But truth be told, I don't know many people that would keep with a workout program if they didn't enjoy it. So my journey became one of finding a workout program that would keep me motivated and through lots of looking, I'm going back to Tony Horton and trying P90x.
So first things first, I currently weigh 250 at 5'11" with an estimated 36 inch waist and 25% body fat and I of course will make those estimates official when my P90x arrives (should be the 8th). Now I have done plenty of looking around on the web to try and find a valid review and call me skeptical, but I have a hard time believing a reviewer that has links to the website to by the product they are reviewing, along with advertising about the product plastered on their webpage. Now don't get me wrong if this works, I will be sure to tell everyone I know to buy P90x, but I will not post links to their website of any kind.
What to expect from my blog, that is simple, a daily post about how the program is going as well as the all to important pictures. As it is in the world today, pictures can be edited and the truth and changed to however you like. That being said know that my pictures will not be touched by any editing soft ware. If I could get away with not putting pictures of my fat self on the internet without a shirt on I would, but for the sake of the experiment, I will.
So feel free to read, to post, and to laugh along with me as I see whether Tony Horton's P90x is for real, or total BS.
