Okay this one I did late at night...I'm not quite ready for my girlfriend to know that I'm doing the P90x system just yet. That being said I was sweating to this one from 12-1 AM. But that's alright, my schedule normally has me up until 3AM and sleeping until 10:30 or 11 AM. So I did my workout and I was kinda thinking at first, "this is it?" well I quickly realized that I was sweating like crazy and my shoulders and arms felt like they had swollen to twice their normal size. But that's when I realized that they were quickly fatiguing and I was only half way through the workout. This was yet another intense workout that featured exercises that I had never heard of or could have even dreamed up. As with most of my workouts I have opted to use resistance bands as it would take me way to long to keep switching between dumbbells. Though I, for the past couple of workouts where I used bands, I just used the 40lb resistance band but this time I had to keep switching between the 40lb band (bicep curls and half of the shoulder presses) and the 20lb band (for triceps and the other half of shoulder press).
On a scale of one to ten this workout would have to be rated a 8. I still pushed myself harder than I ever have and I worked my arms to the point that I could still get one more rep out but it would have been terrible form. Though if I wanted to be honest, it was an 8 with just shoulder and arms, then I had the ab ripper x and well that made the workout an 11 or 12...I always thought that since I could knock out 25 crunches without breaking a sweat, my abs were in decent shape and I would be able that, but of course that was wrong.
I did the ab ripper x on day one as well, and honestly I did much better than day one. I fought harder to at least get half of the 25 reps knocked out, though I normally just got to 10. And before I did like two reps, rested for five of Tony's reps and then did a few more. But this time I would more times than not do 10 straight. Now, I by no means am saying I've noticed improvement just yet, but I think my mind is in this a little more now than it was at the beginning.
On another note, my eating habits are still terrible. I'm trying to eat healthier but I just haven't got the time to cook like I need to...my main problem is that I'm just not giving myself enough time to get my cooking done in the mornings. I guess I'll just have to keep working on that. And with a trip to the Urgent Care Center this morning around 8 AM for my girlfriend's neck (a pinched nerve that brought her to tears and she couldn't move her head at all) and the fact that I went to bed at 3:30 AM...I've already had an egg McMuffin from McDonalds and two bags of gummy bears and two bottles of Pepsi to try and keep me awake for my shift...I'd say I'm off to a great start. Though in the grand scheme of things the breakfast wasn't bad but in no way shape or form are Pepsi or gummy bears on any sort of healthy diet. All in all I feel like taking a big nap and going to bed but duty calls. Off to work and Yoga X tonight at 11 PM.
