P90x Vs. Men's Health Forums

Okay so in my down time at work I have stumbled across a P90x forum post on the Men's Health magazine website. It's basically pros and cons of the system, but there are some truly ridiculous claims made on the forums. One argument that is brought up is the fact that P90x is a ripoff and states that if you look on the forums and do some of the workouts posted and eat right you'll lose weight. Other arguments stated that due to the fact that it is an hour long workout that you do regularly and if you do any workout regularly for an hour you are bound to lose weight.

There are of course other reasons people say yay or nay for this program but quite honestly the reason people pay 300 dollars for the P90x system ( I got the addition with all the extra goodies the plain system is around the 150 mark) is rather simple, we're lazy. It takes a lot of extra effort to make your own workout program and not all of us know what we're doing when we do try to put one together. Now whether Tony Horton's program is the best one, I have no idea, but I do know that I would rather have someone put together a workout and eating program than me try and make one for myself. I, personally, am not that creative nor do I wish to try. Not to mention I paid 300 dollars for this program, I'm gonna follow it (10 minute trainer was only in the 60 dollar ball park, so I basically just didn't get to buy that new video game that I wanted).

So in the argument of pros and cons I'm still undecided as to whether P90x is worth it or not. However I can say for sure, that I am glad that someone is willing to tell me how to workout and how to eat because if it were up to me I would weigh 250 pounds and play video games when I'm not at work...on second thought that is exactly how it is now...though there are movie nights with my brother or girlfriend but that's just another excuse to eat popcorn. So all in all, a program that I am determined to follow no matter how hard it is, is exactly what I've been waiting for.

And if you would really like to see the post that I was talking about I have posted the link here. But I again stress that I will not post the link to P90x or anything that has to do with them, not even if it works for me.
