Day 8-Chest and Back, Ab ripper X

Well aside from feeling slightly ill after eating some bad strawberries today's workout went rather well. I found myself using the heaviest resistance band (the black 50lb one) on all my workouts that needed a band. I still don't think I'm quite ready to be trying pull-ups and in a week I lost maybe a pound. Then again I haven't exactly been eating great, though I've never really eaten poorly, I just have a habit of eating to much. Back to the workout though. I pushed myself to the limit today. I set my goal and met or exceeded them. My goal for standard push-ups was 15 and I managed 20. Granted, not great strides, but I've made them. I've never been able to do push-ups well, but I'm able to do more and more as I keep with the program. Though one good note that I kinda actually liked was the fact that I did a set of diamond push-ups to muscle failure. It's odd, with this program it's almost like you're trained to enjoy when your body feels like it can do no more and in that moment when I started lowering myself toward my hands and my arms just gave out, it was a good feeling. Of course I picked myself up and took a deep breath and did one more rep, then, I was done...well with that exercise, there was still plenty to do.

And of course there was the ab ripper x. Today, I did make strides. I was able to do all 25 five of the first exercise. Before my legs would give out as you have to keep them elevated the entire time. But today I made it all the way through. It was a good feeling to say the least and I managed to force out more reps for each workout. Getting at least fifteen. There is only one workout that I'm having real trouble with and that is heels to the heavens. It requires you to left your legs toward the sky and straighten your legs, then drive your legs up to the ceiling. Only problem is, i can't get my legs that high, nor can I do the exercise more than once without my body dropping my legs to the floor and having to get my legs back up to try again. Other than that one exercise I managed to do quite a bit more than last time. Can't wait to see me in 30 days. Let's that day 30 pictures don't look a lot like day 1...
